Silas Botwin (Hunter Parrish)
Silas is Nancy’s eldest son. He is sometimes rebellious; he was traumatized with Judah’s sudden death. He is impulsive and is usually portrayed as sexually active. He has a girlfriend named Megan, whom he has gotten pregnant.
He eventually decides that he wants to be in his mother’s business, which of course, Nancy wasn’t too keen about. But to everyone’s surprise, Silas proved to be Nancy’s most valuable asset. He was his best salesman, and really has good business acumen. Meanwhile, he pursues plant cultivation and opens a medicinal marijuana dispensary. He encounters many challenges that come with running the business. He learns that the police are rather corrupt and takes bribes. He tells his brother Shane to never trust anyone and make sure to be responsible for your actions.
Silas is played by Hunter Parrish. Hunter is an American actor and singer from Richmond, Virginia. He has been in the cast of a Tony Award winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening as the lead Melchior Gabor. He has appeared in TV series such as CSI, Close to Home, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has also been featured in the films Freedom Writers, It’s Complicated and 17 Again.
