Three years after trying to save her family, Nancy is released from prison and paroled to a New York half way house. She also learns that Esteban’s drug cartel was disbanded and he was killed in prison. She also sets out on a scavenger hunt to get her romantic partner from prison. When Andy, Doug and Shane learn of Nancy’s release, they return to America. Upon their arrival in America, the visit Nancy at the halfway house and she decides to sneak out through the back door. Doug visits an old friend and is invited for an interview. Nancy smokes marijuana and admits the same to Shane and Andy. Ed drags her to his office for a drug test. When Nancy tests positive for marijuana, Ed arranges for her to start taking anti drug classes by Ms. Kleen. Jill informs Nancy that she intends to gain full custody of Stevie. With the help of a college friend, Doug gets a job as a CPA.

During his first modeling gig in New York, Silas storms out after he almost suffocates. Nancy trades Zoya’s underwear to Sarge for pot. Silas manipulates Nancy into giving him a cut, upon finding out that she has started dealing again. Jill pressures Nancy for custody of Stevie and tuition for a school that is very expensive. as a result of this, Nancy obtains the help of a pro bono lawyer. Andy and Maxeen start a casual relationship. As a thank you for going to prison for him, Shane uses some of his student loan money to build for her a bedroom in their apartment. Nancy shuts down a rival pot dealer. Nancy’s pot is given away by silas as free samples in an attempt to get new clients and also borrow money.
